Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator

Curry County Public Health Department is accepting applications for a full time Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator.  This position will assist in planning, organizing and coordinating activities for Public Health response to all hazard emergencies (including pandemics).  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.  Demonstrated background in emergency preparedness, emergency response and/or Public Health; or any satisfactory equivalent of experience and training.  Must possess a current Oregon driver license.  Salary:  $4326-$5015/month plus excellent benefits and retirement.  Open until filled.  Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.

Director of County Operations

Curry County is accepting applications for a full time Director of County Operations that also acts as the Finance Director.  The County Director is responsible to the Board of Commissioners to execute all management and administrative tasks of the Board of Commissioners and shall have supervision of all County administrative departments, divisions and offices except the departments of Elected Officials and County Counsel, or as otherwise provided by law.  Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration or relevant field from an accredited college or university (Master’s degree is preferred, with major coursework in accounting or finance; seven years of progressively responsible work in government budgeting and accounting (CPA preferred).  A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in public or business administration, accounting, or management is required.  Salary starting at $86520 annually plus benefits and retirement eligibility.  Open until filled.  Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required. Camp Hosts

Curry County Parks is seeking volunteer, contracted, seasonal camp host(s) for the County park system.  This is a temporary position at Loeb Park August 1 - September 30.  The County provides an RV space, with full hookups, and electricity.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to greeting guests and monitoring day use and gravel bar area, grounds and facility maintenance,  including collecting trash and emptying trash cans.  cleaning restrooms, and locking and unlocking the gate to the park.  A background check is required.    Please complete this application.

Deputy District Attorney


Curry County District Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for a Deputy District Attorney.  Curry County is located on the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast and has many outdoor adventure opportunities with the Pacific Ocean to the west and stunning rivers throughout the County.  The position requires professional legal work in the prosecution of adult criminal cases.  An aptitude for trial work is essential.  Applicants must be graduates of an accredited law school, members in good standing of the Oregon State Bar; two years of experience in legal practice or legal research and writing; must possess a valid driver license.  Salary:  $59328 - 68772/year DOE .  Position includes excellent benefits and retirement.    Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history check required.

Road Deputy (Certified Preferred)

 Curry County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a Road Deputy.  Enforces state and local traffic, criminal, and civil laws and ordinances.  Patrols roads, waterways, and business and residential areas.  One continuous year of experience as a law enforcement officer, or graduation from a two year college with an Associate’s degree in Law Enforcement; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training.  Must have a valid driver license.  DPSST certification preferred.  Salary:  $3989 – 5091/month depending on experience and certification.  Includes excellent benefits and retirement.   Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.

Curry County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a Corrections Deputy (certified preferred).  Ensures the security and general welfare of those in custody of the Curry County Jail.  High school graduation or equivalent.  Must be at least 21 years old.  Must have a valid driver license.  Possession of, or ability to obtain within one year of employment, Basic Corrections Officer Certificate with the Oregon Board on Police Standards and Training.  Salary:  $3744-4778/month plus excellent benefits and retirement.  Open until filled.   Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.
