Mechanic

Curry County Road Department is accepting applications for a full time Mechanic.  Performs skilled mechanical work to motor vehicles, road maintenance equipment and shop facilities.  Five years working as a mechanic and currently a mechanic.  Requires possession of a Class A Oregon Commercial Driver License (CDL) with tank endorsement within six months of appointment.  Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.  Salary:  $18.25 – 23.32/hour plus benefits and retirement eligibility.  Open until filled.  Pre-employment drug test and criminal background check required.

Department Specialist II

Curry County Clerk’s Office is accepting applications for a full time Department Specialist II.  Performs a wide variety of technical and clerical tasks related to documents required to be filed with the County Clerk.  Accuracy, neatness and relentless attention to detail are required by all positions and duties in this department.  High school graduation or equivalency; one year clerical work experience; or any satisfactory combination of education and/or experience.  Must possess a valid Oregon Driver License with good driving record.  Salary:  $2356 – 3006/month plus benefits and retirement eligibility.  Open until filled.  Criminal background check required.

Deputy District Attorney

Curry County District Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for a Deputy District Attorney.  Curry County is located on the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast and has many outdoor adventure opportunities with the Pacific Ocean to the west and stunning rivers throughout the County.  The position requires professional legal work in the prosecution of adult criminal cases.  An aptitude for trial work is essential.  Applicants must be graduates of an accredited law school, members in good standing of the Oregon State Bar; two years of experience in legal practice or legal research and writing; must possess a valid driver license.  Salary:  $51767-74680/year DOE .  Position includes excellent benefits and retirement.    Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history check required.

Road Deputy (Certified Preferred)

 Curry County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a Road Deputy.  Enforces state and local traffic, criminal, and civil laws and ordinances.  Patrols roads, waterways, and business and residential areas.  One continuous year of experience as a law enforcement officer, or graduation from a two year college with an Associate’s degree in Law Enforcement; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training.  Must have a valid driver license.  DPSST certification preferred.  Salary:  $3873 – 4941/month depending on experience and certification.  Includes excellent benefits and retirement.   Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.

Corrections Deputy (Certified Preferred)
 

Curry County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a Corrections Deputy (certified preferred).  Ensures the security and general welfare of those in custody of the Curry County Jail.  High school graduation or equivalent.  Must be at least 21 years old.  Must have a valid driver license.  Possession of, or ability to obtain within one year of employment, Basic Corrections Officer Certificate with the Oregon Board on Police Standards and Training.  Salary:  $3635-4638/month plus excellent benefits and retirement.  Open until filled.   Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.
