Tax Payment and Collection Information

2nd Trimester Tax notices were mailed to property owners
Friday January 19th, 2024.
Oregon property taxes are assessed January 1st for the July 1st-June 30th fiscal year.

2023-2024 Tax payment Due Dates:

Wednesday, November 15th, 2023

Thursday, February 15th, 2024
Wednesday, May 15th, 2024

Property Tax Collection Payment Policy

When are property taxes due?
Property owners can pay accounts with Three payment options:

  • Pay in Full- Pay in full by November 15 to receive a 3% discount. 
  • Pay 2/3- Pay 2/3 by November 15 to receive a 2% discount.
  • Installment Payments- You may pay your property taxes in three installments. No discount for installment payments.

Note: When mailing your property tax payment be advised that in accordance with ORS 305.820 and ORS 311.505, The Curry County Tax Collector uses the official postmark date stamp from the United States Postal Service or Private Express Carrier such as UPS or Fedex, Etc. to post your payment. Please allow sufficient mail time for your payment to arrive, with a postmark on or before the actual due date.


Can I pay by credit card, VISA debit or e-check?
YES

Online and Phone Payment Fees:

  • Credit cards 2.5% with a minimum of $2.00
  • Visa Debit Flat fee of $3.95
  • E-Checks Flat fee of $2.00
Note: When paying online through Point & Pay or by using the payment line below, please remember to put your account number in WITHOUT the letter (ex: 12345 instead of R12345). Also, please make sure that you include the property owner's name if you are making a payment for someone.

What color is your tax statement?
Green Statements
A Green statement indicates that no lender has requested information and the property owner is responsible for paying the property tax bill.
Yellow Statements
A Yellow statement indicates one of two things:
  • The property owner is receiving a Senior or Disabled Tax deferral in which the Oregon Department of Revenue will pay all or part of the property tax bill.
  • OR our records indicate a lender has requested your information and will likely be making your property tax payment. **
** Taxpayers are urged to check with their mortgage company if they believe their current arrangement is not reflected by the color of the property tax statement.


Important Dates to Consider:

  • Late payments lose discount after November 15th due date.
  • In Oregon, property is valued each year as of January 1.
  • The fiscal tax year runs from July 1 through June 30.
  • Property taxes are mailed no later than October 25th and payment is due November 15th. The dates at the top of your tax statement reflect the fiscal tax year for the property taxes imposed.






GASB 77

Curry County did not, in the Fiscal Year 2021-22, have any GASB 77 Property Tax Abatements to disclose to any City, District, or other municipal entity within the County.
