The Curry County Road Department will begin chip seal paving work in the central and south county areas beginning June 1, 2020.  Travelers should expect lane closures and up to 20 minute delays on the roads being chip sealed.  Following is a list of roads and estimated dates that work will be done:

 Cedar Valley Road:  June 2- 4

 N.B. Rogue River Road:  June 8- 10

 Hunter Creek Loop:  June 11.  Businesses and residents need to park away from the paved roadway.

 Mateer Road:  June 11

 Hunter Creek Road:  June 15 - 18

 Hunter Creek Complex Road:  June 18

 South Bank Chetco River Road:  June 22 - 24

Spring Herbicide Spraying

Roadside herbicide spraying is scheduled to begin Monday, April 20, 2020, barring weather delays.  Listed below are the chemicals that will be used and a brief description of each.

Roundup Pro - For control of annual weeds, perennial grasses, broadleaf weeds & woody brush.

Oust XP – For control of annual & perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds.

Telar XP – For control of invasive & noxious broadleaf weeds.

MSO - Methylated seed oil.  A drift agent and vegetable oil surfactant.
