Changes in VA Health Care Eligibility & Enrollment

New regulations have been proposed to allow VA to enroll certain Priority Group 8 (PG 8) Veterans in the VA health system. These Veterans would qualify if their household income does not exceed the current VA income thresholds by more than 10%. The new regulation is to take effect in June 2009.

If you applied for enrollment before January 1, 2009, and were denied enrollment because your income was too high, the Curry County Veteran Service Officer encourages you to contact him so he can assist you in determining if you are now eligible for enrollment under this new regulation. Whatever your enrollment determination, I encourages all Veterans to apply for enrollment in VA Healthcare system.
