The Curry County Law Enforcement Blue Ribbon Committee is comprised of citizen members with representation from each area of the county. The purpose of the committee is to review, discuss, design, and develop a special district or other stable funding resources for Curry County Law Enforcement. The committee was established by the Curry County Board of Commissioners on December 1, 2008, Order # 12959. Sheriff John Bishop is the committee liaison with District Attorney Everett Dial and Juvenile Director Ken Dukek serving in advisory capacities. The committee will be making recommendations to the Curry County Board of Commissioners and providing quarterly progress reports. During the first quarter of 2009, the committee is meeting on the first and third Wednesday of each month in the Blue Room located in the Curry County Annex in Gold Beach – these are Public Meetings and the public is encouraged to attend and get involved. If you have any questions or need additional information, please call Sheriff Bishop or Juvenile Director Ken Dukek, or you may send an email to: blueribbon@co.curry.or.us.
